I'm slow to post. I know Memorial Weekend was quite a while ago but hey, it's turning out that that's my style.
My parents are serving a 6 month mission in Nauvoo, IL and loving it. I was happy when they went because Nauvoo is 4 1/2 hours from here versus the 9 hour drive to Colorado. So we decided we'd head out and see them and enjoy Nauvoo for the weekend. It was super fun, even though Mason, Isaac, and Dave were all real sick. Thank goodness for pain relievers and fever reducers! And thank goodness my parents didn't catch it.
A pretty scenic view from the wagon.
Sister Vinton helping Mason along in the parade on stage.
Dave with the kids clinging to him after an evening performance. Love that picture. And Isaac at the Gun Shop checking out the machine gun.
Sister and Elder Vinton giving tours at the Gun Shop.
Dave and the kids making a rope! And Dave and Ethan taking a stroll.
Isaac glowing in the sunset. The Nauvoo Temple from the Trail of Tears.

Hi April,
Ray's parents are there too this summer. Glad to see pics from your trip, we're thinking about trying to go out this summer and you sure make it look fun! - Krissy
What a neat experience! I would love to visit there some day!
awesome post, thanks for putting all those pictures up it is so great to you mom and dad doing their work and your family being able to have all the fun visiting them! Will is in my lap right now endlessly saying "i want to see them (your boys)!"..well whining/crying it. Guess we'll have to work on that :)
Hi April. Are your parents still there? We are planning a Nauvoo trip next week and we're super excited because Joe has never been there before. Hope you are doing well and feeling o.k.
How fun for you and the family to see your parents in action! What a great example of service for your boys. I was hoping to see some pics of you and your belly! Hope all is well. Miss you girl!
It was so nice to see you briefly when you were in town recently. The boys have gotten so big... in the late '70s, we actually lived in Illinois and never visited Nauvoo. I was kinda busy with having twin boys and then a baby daughter in just 17 months.
Happiness and joy with your family and blessings when your new baby arrives !
