Art after school

Last Tuesday I picked the kids up from school and headed to the free Tuedays at the Cummer Art Museum. We had a real nice time. The kids enjoyed going from room to room picking out their favorite piece of artwork. Isaac's was the Egyptian engravings, Ethan's was a cowboy sculpture, Mason's was playing ball out in the parking lot afterwards, and mine was a painting of an elderly couple in a Dr.'s waiting room.

I do think we made the security guards very nervous . They tried to hide the fact that they were following us around and watching the little guys like hawks, but I knew. Yes, I knew. And turns out we didn't even touch or break anything. Hurray! That means we can go back.

It sure was nice
to see art work and enjoy some of the finer things in life for an hour or so. The museum has a super fun kids area with lots of hands on activities. But really, one of the most amazing things to me at the Cummer is the garden out back. The Secret Garden with a black tar reflection pool. I wish I could live in that garden!

In the tree. Is that against the rules?

Next I tried to
get a nice picture of the boys but as you can see, that idea didn't fly. They were so wound up by that point. It makes for some fun photos anyhow. I sure do love them and am so glad they will go just about anywhere with me. Because I wouldn't want to go anywhere without them.

You do so many fun things with your boys. I've never been to that museum.

Oh, April! I wish I could take my boys on adventures with you. I love that you are teaching them about art now.

April;

I really like the panoramic effect you made with that third set of pictures ("In the tree"). Neat!
