My oh my what a guy!
We had a fun Father's Day together this past Sunday as I hope you all did too. The boys loved all the surprises they had for their Dada. On Saturday Dave went to the library for an hour and we at home ran around trying to get his surprises ready. At the end of the day I asked the boys what their favorite thing was of the day (we had gone to a country fair w/ animals and festivites that morning). To my surprise they unanimously replied they loved making Daddy's surprises the most. Even more than the chickens and their feathers at the fair! (Ethan made us see the chickens twice and collected a bunch of cutie feathers of course.)

The boys hard at work on their father's day card

This is a mound of brownies, frosting, and whipped cream we turned into a mountain for a tasty father's day treat. (yes, that is dave at the top, and yes, those are paper trees and plastic action figures, oh and also, yes, those are finger swipes at the base of the mountain.)
After a nice father's day nap the boys surprised Dave with the mountain.
As Dave was getting ready for bed that night I heard him mumbling something about the day being over. I asked him what he was saying and he explained how sad he was that father's day was almost over. What a day, to be told how great you are all day, recieving gifts, cards, surprises, all your favorite food, a nap... it's even better than your birthday he said, because on father's day they even celebrate you at church!
I sure love this guy, the Dada of my 3 little boys. He is my best friend and greatest support. What a terrific father he is!
