I was lucky enough to be able to fly out to Utah to attend my little brother's wedding. He's the last of us 5 kids to be married off, which made it an additionally joyous occasion for my parents. They are free at last!
I flew into SLC the Wednesday night before. My sister Emily picked me up and I got to stay with her and her family that night and all of Thursday in Provo. It was so fun and great to catch up. Her son Willem is close in age to Mason and I could just eat him up. He's a hoot. Emily is pregnant (another boy!) and so it was fun to see her that way. Being so far away from my siblings I miss out on fun stuff like that.
Cute Willem

Thursday day I wanted to go walk around BYU and feel the nostalgia. It was good. I sure love that campus. That evening my parents came over from Denver and had dinner with us. Matt and Emily make killer hamburgers. They ARE the BBQ masters. Then, because my knee hadn't done so well the night before due to the cold, I left with my parents to Salt Lake where we stayed in a real nice hotel near Temple Square. We dropped our stuff at the hotel and ran over to the square and caught the tail end of one of the Tabernacle Choir's rehearsals. Very nice! And fun to be alone with my parents for a while.

My wonderful parents who started it all.
Friday we went back over to Temple Square and my parents bought me the most delicious muffin top. Not the muffin top you are thinking of, but an actual baked good muffin top. We also went over to the Conference Center and looked at some beautifully inspired artwork on display. We each picked out our favorite pieces. Then we hurried back to the hotel to get ready to attend Rachael's endowment session in the temple. It was beautiful. One of the longest sessions I've ever attended, but it was so great to be there with Ben, Emily and my parents. I just love Temple Square. Besides the actual temple, the Christus is my favorite.

Beautiful Temple Square flowers, as usual.
After the endowment session I drove with my parents up to Logan where we met up with the rest of the fam- Liz and her family, and Dan and his. I finally got to meet my most recent nephew, Jace. Talk about a cute baby with a great personality! We also had a great dinner put together by Mari-Catherine and Lizzy. Thanks again! Then we helped with decorations for the luncheon the next day.

I'm tellin' you, there is nothing better than being in the temple with those you love. Aunts, uncles and cousins that I haven't seen in years were there. It was an awesome reunion, and union of Ben and his lovely wife. What a dang good looking couple they make. Their sealing was beautiful too. Ben has always had a special place in my heart as he is my only younger brother, and the youngest of the family. My cute, good little Benny. He is such a good boy. I guess he's a man now, but whatever.

Tell me they don't look in love!
Pretending they like kids... doesn't look like they are ready yet...
My awesome sisters and their boys.
My silly brothers hammin' it up as usual.
The reception that evening was nice. Especially catching up with long lost relatives. Later, more hanging out with family and a good amount of time spent talking to Dave on the phone.
Sunday, Easter, we watched Willem and Joshy (my other adorable nephew) follow their candy trails to their loot and we ate the best whole wheat pancakes I've ever had, made by Mari-Catherine. (Mari-Catherine, if you are reading this, please send me that recipe!)
Cute Joshua
Then it was time to head back home to Florida. As I pulled out of the airport and headed for home, feeling the balmy air and watching the palm trees pass by, I felt so happy to be home. Though I love going on trips, I sure do love coming home too. Especially to the darling boys that have my heart (Dave is definitely included in that statement).

Your family looks so great! It was so fun to see them after all these years.
I remember when we were comps and you would write letters to your cute little brother, Ben. We are so old!!!!
SO JEALOUS you got to go to Logan! I think that is one of my favorite places on earth, seriously.
I love temple square too. The mountains are beautiful.
Your brother and sister in law are darling. The look on her face trying to handle all the kids is cute.
congrats to your cute brother. I am hoping to see you soon!
Cute family. And so fun to be together!
How fun to see your family (for you and for me). You all look so similar... and beautiful, of course. Fun pics.
Such a joyful entry, April. Can I have a copy of the picture of dad and I in front of the temple?
How crazy is this, I was looking at this post and I was like hmmm her brother looks REALLY familiar. Then it dawned on me that he was at my cousin Tylers wedding. Apparently they served together on their mission!
Small mormon world!
