Revised toilet

New Years Eve day Dave was out of town so I took the boys (and Heather's baby Hazel) to Folkston, Georgia. Folkston is a tiny little southern town, very picturesque and how you would imagine the South to be. It is mainly known because the Okeefenokee Swamp is there. It's a National Park and just teaming with gators. Dave and some buddies rented canoes and camped out in the swamp once. There are platforms built in the swamp where you can tie your canoe up and pitch a tent for the night. Did I mention tons of alligators?

Well this time we didn't go to Folkston for the swamp, we went to see trains. There is a cute little museum that used to be a train depot with old railroad "things" and memorabilia. It's also cool because there is a platform built near the tracks where you can sit and watch all the trains go by. They call it "the funnel." I learned it's called the funnel because all of the trains heading into any place in Florida go right through that town past the platform. They all "funnel" through. There's usually around 81 trains a day. Except for the day we went... NO TRAINS! Most train workers were given the day off, New years eve day! I should have figured! But it was fun anyway. And funny. Funny because just before we left Isaac hollered, in all seriousness, "MOM, Mom! You've got to see this. Come here, come here! Looook, this is a toilet! See? Do you know how I know that?"...

Isaac gave me a good laugh that made me smile all day when I thought about this. He was SURE it was a toilet. I mean, why else would they tell you to place your pale bootie on top?

Here's a pic of the kids near the tracks, excited just to be there. The wooden structure above Isaac's head is "the funnel." We had a great time.
