This happened a while back but what kind of Mom would I be if I didn't report this? So Isaac has lost his first 2 teeth. Why this is so exciting for kids and parents, I don't really know, but nonetheless I am still excited. It just so happened that each tooth loss occurred when I was out of town on two different occassions. What luck. But the tooth fairy was faithful and she came anyway, pink curly handwriting and all. (Good job Dave). Well on the 1st tooth losing episode Isaac called me and left a very memorable message. He was SO excited and how it happened is so typical. Here is what he said on my voice mail (though it is so much better to be heard because of his tones and the way he emphasizes certain words):
"MOM, you will not believe what just happened!!! It is AMAZING! I looost my tooooth! I was playing with Ethan and he kicked my mouth and my tooth came out and I couldn't find it! So I looked right, I mean left- well I looked right or left, I don't know, and I FOUND MY TOOTH! It was unbelievable!!! I caant believe it, I lost my tooth! This is so exciting. It didn't even hurt. Ethan kicked it and I didn't even cry! And then we found it! I can't wait for you to come home and see it on Monday! Oh, and by the way Mom, you're really nice, and, I love you. Bye!"
During this whole episode Dave was out in the living room with the missionaries and an investigator having a discussion. He said he heard some whooping and hollering and then Isaac and Ethan ran out of their room embracing and jumping around for joy. I sure wish I could have been there. But I think I can imagine just how it went in my minds eye, and thanks to the terrific message Isaac left me in the heat of the moment!

That's cute! We were way excited for Kai to lose his first one too. It is a monumental moment! :)
Addison is so excited to lose a tooth. She feels like she is the only one who hasn't, and at 7 she feels badly about this. Unfortunately, she does not believe in the tooth fairy and that takes a lot of the fun out of losing the first tooth. Too bad you missed both occurrences. Your boys sound like a lot of fun!
that is so funny. and what a sweet message. i can almost hear him saying all of that. your emphasises (is that a word?) were perfect.
now, to loose a tooth because of a kick and to run out excitedly together, that is something to remember.
Your family is so precious. Thank you for your sweet note. My dad is a trip yes he calls it the blob. He waned me to post about his service project, and he loves that I have my own site. Things are going well in NYC. I love it here. It has not been without it's struggles, but I can't think of any other place I would rather be right now. It's perfect. Keep in touch and I'll look forward to seeing you at Christmas! xoxo
Sweet !
I still love the Tooth Fairy ( she was good to me when I lost a tooth even when money was tight in our house ) and I get so excited when any of my grandchildren lose a tooth !
You painted that pic perfectly! I can totally see those cute little boys all excited about kicking out a tooth. How fun, too bad you missed that one but I'm sure you will have many more teeth to make up for it.
This is too CUTE!! Congratulations!
