Happy 6th Isaac-rabeen-head

Goodmorning to the new 6 year old! We started the day with presents and "Cheerios with chocolate on it." (I offered Isaac donuts or pancakes but nay, he wanted his every morning request of Cheerios with Nesquik sprinkled on top.)

I love the above picture because it shows how much Isaac loves Ethan and what a wonderful brother he is to him. This picture below shows that the feelings are definitely reciprocated.

Even though we just rode the train downtown 5 days previous for Ethan's birthday, it is what Isaac wanted to do as well. So here's a shot from that below. And Daddy even got to come this time.

Feel that Ferguson love! This picture is all natural.

The highlight of the day was of course going bowling with the 11 year old twins next door. Isaac had the hardest time waiting for 4 o'clock to come around so we could go!

This is a great picture of my darling Isaac! He is wearing a new Power Rangers shirt he got as a gift. He'll wear it 4 days straight at times. Do you think he likes it? (And can you tell I let my kids dress themselves? Yikes).

Everyone had a great time bowling, even Mason, as you can see. Drool and all.

Then we headed home for cake and ice-cream! Isaac said he didn't want a cake, just ice-cream. But since the cake making is a tradition of sorts, I made one anyway, and Isaac was grateful (HSM2 theme).

And Dave of course did his tradition of decorating. An awesome job, original and symbolic every time!

Isaac's g-ma and pa sent him some money and he bought a cd player. He's been playing HSM2 ever since and he's got some rad moves. Check him out!

I sure love my little Isaac. I secretly call him my little angel. Ever since he was born he has been, in many ways, an angel to me. He is very sensitive and thoughtful to people's needs. He is outgoing, friendly and super fun. Whenever we show up at a playground or to a play date his friends are excited to see him. From his kindergarten class I had many many Moms telling me that their child just couldn't stop talking about Isaac, or how he was their best friend. The little girls told their moms how cute Isaac was. I love Isaac because he always does his best. He is always trying to make Dave and I, and his brothers, happy. I enjoy how he is a spiritual little boy. He's always loved church songs and scripture stories. I'm amazed at how much he remembers and how he knows what "atonement" and "resurrection" mean. He could probably retell many scripture stories better than I can. Isaac loves learning. He's always interested in "studying things in his workshop." He wants to know what things are, how things work, and what they are made of. Just the other day he asked me what air was made of. As I got into it, talking about elements, and atoms, Isaac was so interested and acted as though he completely understood. He is a very cautious boy. He very often reminds and helps Ethan to abide by the rules. And last but not least, Isaac is naturally inclined to sports of all kinds. Ever since he could walk he has been intense about throwing, catching, running, hitting. He's actually a pretty skilled little dude. The sport of choice right now is soccer. But most of all, as Isaac and I often tell eachother, "do you know why I love you?", I love Isaac just because he's Isaac. I couldn't ask for a more wonderful child!

(I'm not trying to brag really, I just love him like you love yours!... And I've got to make him look good as I plan for the future with hopes to match him up with some of your daughters.)

Damon got an mp3 player for his birthday and has been listening to high school musical 1 and 2 constantly. I am sure if he were more inclined to play sports, like Isaac, Jeff wouldn't be so concerned about his feminine side. Happy birthday Isaac!

Isaac is such a sweet boy. As I was reading your post, I was so proud of him like he was my own--I didn't think you were bragging a bit. I just wish I had a girl for him. Maybe my next will be a girl and Ethan will go for her. He is pretty special too. Miss you guys!

Hey April, your boys are so handsome. Does it feel like you're living the life our moms should be living? We'll have to get Isaac and my Addison together someday--she's almost 7, but an older woman is ok right? Next video I want to see Dave dancing with the boys, although the singing was nice too!
